Visiting With the Kovi's

We were so lucky, we had the opportunity to visit with Grandma Kovi, our cousin Brittney, Uncle Jeff and Aunt Brenda while they were in town from Florida! Brittney is one of Mark's cousins on the Kovi side of the family. This was the first time we met her and she is darling! Brittney and Dominic our just 5 months apart.

PS ~ Speaking of cousins... Has anyone seen cousin Sydney in this picture? We seem to have lost her in Nana and Papa's backyard!

Alhoa Chuck Taylors

Yeah to Aunty Mo and Aunty Vicki!

Aunty Mo came to visit from LBC (that would be Long Beach, California for anyone who is not a Snoop Dogg fan!) Aunty Mo got us some California swim trunks and a matching tropical shirt. We will be debuting this outfit at Uncle Jimmy and Aunt Jenny's Luau! Aunty Vicky got us our very first pair of CHUCK TALYORS! They are size six, so we will not be wearing them for awhile but...

We thought we would give you all a sneak peak of how cute we will look when we can wear them!!!!!!!

Enjoy,
Dominic

Some people just cannot relax!

Not Dominic! He chills all DAY long!!!!!!!!!
If the suns up...he's not! But once night falls...Game On!!!!!

Sleep? What's that!

Well, Everyone was right. We will never sleep the same again! We have tried to wake him up during the day, like everyone keeps telling us to do, but let's just say that it is easier said then done. He sure loves to sleep during the day! As you can see, Mommy and Daddy usually just pass out at some point. I am not sure if most of you know, but the one thing I wanted after being pregnant for 9 months was an ICE COLD BUD LIGHT! Yeah, I am a classy gal! I had three the other night, but it threw me into a gull bladder attack.

If you have not heard, I had to have it out last week, just 4 weeks after Dominic was born. Some people blame it on pregnancy, I blame it on one too many Whoppers. If you have never had a gull bladder attack, thank god. I would give birth a hundred times over. And that is coming from a girl who was in labor for two days and had to push for over 4.5 hours! Anyway, I am fine and back to my sleepless schedule. Being in the hospital gave me sometime to catch up on my sleep. Mark on the other hand, NOT SO MUCH!

Bath Time and Visitors

Through all of this, Mark and I realized how blessed we are! We have had so many visitors and everyone has been so helpful. We have had about 2-3 meals a week brought to our house and our amazing neighbors have organized a meal a week for the next couple of weeks. They are amazing! "Word to the Ladies of the View"!!!!!!

Considering I do not cook, Mark and I have been pampered! Chipotle, Burger King and Papa Johns are probably wondering where their number 1 customers have been the last three weeks.

Anyway, thank you to everyone who has contributed!

If anyone has any pictures, please email them to me so I can post them. I know we took pictures of Sydney, Rylee, Quinn and McKenna with the baby, but I cannot not find them. I would love to post them on the blog, so please email any pictures my way!

He actually loves the bath now that we can take full baths. He sleeps right through them.

Enjoy!

Honeymoon Take 2!

Dominic James Kovi
7lbs 10ounces
18.5 inches long
Born April 26, 2008 at 8:40 PM

Well it has been 3 weeks and Mark and I are in heaven. We feel like we are on our honeymoon all over again. I love being a mom and Mark is an amazing father. And in the last 3 weeks I have fallen in love with my husband all over again!

Dominic is doing amazing! He has finally regained his birth weight. It took 3 weeks, but we are there! We also had a scare, because at the hospital he had failed his hearing test, but we took him this week and he passed both ears. That was a long three weeks waiting to get him screened again. Mark, the eternal pessimist was actually very confident and me the optimist of the two was very nervous and trying to prepare myself for hearing the worst. Thank goodness daddy was right!!!!!

He is the best baby. He never really fusses and never really cries. We know how blessed we are for that!

I am going to try to keep adding picture to this blog, we will have to see how it goes.

Please feel free to comment on any of the pictures! We would love to hear from everyone! Enjoy
